To the community:

Stowe Street Café has put together a Fundraiser for Ukraine for the month of April with 100% of the proceeds going to World Central Kitchen which is on the front lines providing food to families who are still in and fleeing their country.

Starting Friday, April 1, customers can purchase the following items with all proceeds being donated to World Central Kitchen:

  1. Ukrainian Honey Cookies To Go (bag of 6): $10 each

  2. "Love Beets Hate" Ukrainian Borscht To Go (1/2 quart): $10 each

  3. Raffle Tickets for the chance to win a gorgeous Gift Basket full of local coffee + food + art (valued at $300): $10 each raffle ticket

  4. Raffle Ttickets for the chance to win a 2 Night Stay in the Airbnb just above the cafe (based on availability May - Aug 2022) including a homemade Ukrainian Dinner for 2 made by Chef Stephanie Biczko (valued at $450 total): $20 each raffle ticket.

Ukrainian Dinner Menu includes:

Kroshka (Chilled Vegetable Soup)

Salo (Pork Belly) with Black Bread

Holubsti (Beef & Pork Stuffed Cabbage Roll)

Deruni (Potato Pancakes)

Syrniki (Sweet Cheese Fritters with Currant Preserves)

Walnut Stuffed Prunes

Honey Cookies, Borscht, and Raffle Tickets all may be purchased in person at the café and online at: stowestreetcafe.com.

Or if you prefer, donations can be made directly to World Central Kitchen as part of the Stowe Street Café fundraiser by visiting the online fundraising page at: donate.wck.org/StoweStreetCafe

The team has set a fundraising goal of $3,500. While it may seem like just a drop in the bucket on the grand scale, they know firsthand how many mouths $3,500 can help feed – especially after Chef Stephanie led her own effort to feed those in need in this community at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

Fundraising updates will be posted on the Stowe Street Café social media platforms throughout April, and raffle winners will be announced on Sunday, May 1.
