Revitalizing Waterbury has extended its application deadline to Friday, Jan. 15, for the economic development director position for Waterbury. 

Alyssa Johnson, who held the position since 2017, recently resigned in December to take a new post with the Vermont Council on Rural Development.  

Funded by the town government, the position is part of the Revitalizing Waterbury staff. The economic development director works in cooperation with local, regional and statewide sources on initiatives to create and maintain an inviting, safe, economically sound, lively and livable community. 

Responsibilities include business support, municipal engagement, policy and planning and organizational support. Experience in economic, business or community development preferred. A full job description is online at revitalizingwaterbury.org/job-opportunities
