All that remains on the Stowe Street bridge project is a public opinion survey. I-89 southbound work has ended. Bolton’s work on the Duxbury Road continues. Some night work on Rt. 100 near I-89 this week is possible. Duxbury has a brief road closure while a closure in Moretown will mean changes to school bus schedules.

As the Stowe Street bridge project nears completion, the Lincoln Street Park & Ride lot reopens Monday. In Bolton, a project on Duxbury Road will require a closure starting Oct. 20. Work on building a new bridge over the Thatcher Brook along Vermont Route 100 in Waterbury kicked into high gear this week with a 450-ton-capacity crane at the worksite unloading and putting into place giant precast concrete bridge sections. On Monday, Lincoln St. closes to vehicle traffic until Aug. 22.

As a giant crane has been added to the Stowe Street bridge reconstruction site in Waterbury, state project officials have announced that delays will push back the bridge opening date to later this month.

Paving is underway on Kneeland Flats Rd. Park & Ride relocates ahead of bridge project. Surveying continues on I-89 southbound before resurfacing starts. And Fayston tackles a key flood-repair project.
I-89 resurfacing Waterbury-Montpelier is starting. Paving later this month on Kneeland Flats Rd. And a large ash tree being removed on S. Main St. in Waterbury will slow traffic.
Work soon will be under way on a two-year $15.2 million resurfacing project along Interstate 89 southbound between Waterbury and Montpelier.
Local and state road crews continue projects this week including in Duxbury where there will be paving and speed table installation on Main Street and work on a Rt. 100 bridge. Work on and adjacent to Interstate 89 north and south of Waterbury continues also.
Paving projects are scheduled for Union Street and Guptil Road in Waterbury this week. Union will be closed to through traffic and street parking Monday-Tuesday. Work continues on Interstate 89 northbound between Waterbury and Montpelier.
