The Children's Room Annual Barn Dance and Harvest Fest is Sunday

With live music, pony rides, face-painting, and more, The Children’s Room’s annual Barn Dance and Harvest Fest is planned for 2:30-5:30 p.m. The event is the biggest annual fundraiser for the nonprofit resource center for families with children from infants through school age.
The band Prohibition Pickers will provide the tunes as families fan out to explore the farm on hay rides, play games, and sample pies from the pie contest (everyone is invited to bring one to enter and enjoy). There will be pumpkins and mums for sale. New this year will be a chance to have family photos taken by professional local photographers, Photos by Kintz (available for purchase).
Admission is $25 per family, covering all activities and food. A separate raffle will feature local prizes such as a $100 gift card to Hen of the Wood, an Elevate class punch pass, and a one-night stay with breakfast at the Von Trapp Lodge. All proceeds benefit The Children’s Room.
A few more volunteers are needed to help with setup, parking, cleanup, scooping ice cream, serving pie, etc. Check out this online sign-up for chances to help out.
