The Mad River Chorale community chorus of Central Vermont presents its spring concerts, "In Celebration of Spring,” on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13, in Waitsfield and Waterbury.

Conductor and artistic director Mary Jane Austin and collaborative accompanist Alison Cerutti have prepared the singers for a performance of inspiring works by Fauré, Handel, and Schubert with a theme of love and rejuvenation.

They will be accompanied by an accomplished string quintet of violinists Brooke Quiggins and Mary Gibson, Liz Reid on viola, Fran Rowell playing cello, and Nick Browne on bass.

Both concerts will start at 7:30 p.m. Friday’s performance is at the Waitsfield United Church of Christ/Village Meeting House, and Saturday’s at the Waterbury Congregational Church/White Meeting House.

Advance tickets are available at madriverchorale.net, or leave a message at 802-496-4781.
