Obituary: Patricia Ellen Russell

Patricia “Pat” Ellen Russell, 77, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at home in Waterbury with her family by her side. Born in Northfield on July 20, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Bertha (Cannon) Hall. She was previously married to Roland Russell.

Pat was a graduate of Northfield High School. As a young woman she started her working career with the State of Vermont at the Department of Motor Vehicles. Over the years she worked as an administrative assistant in several departments for the State of Vermont. She retired in 2005.

She enjoyed traveling south to Myrtle Beach. She always had a camera with her and her friends and family enjoyed many beautiful photos of sunrises. In her younger years she was a member of a bowling league and she loved a good lawn sale. Pat's greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

Pat is survived by her daughter Kimberly Russell-Peck of Waterbury; her son Jason J. Russell of Duxbury; three sisters, Janice Fifield of Garden City, South Carolina, Virginia Robinson of Summerville, South Carolina, Kathleen Croteau and her husband Bill of  Warfordburg, Pennsylvani; one brother, Roger Hall and his wife Linda of Lexington, North Carolina; 11 grandchildren, Chelsea Shedd, Benjamin Peck, Kristin Swahn, Erika Russell, Katherine Matthews, Jason P. Russell, Kimberly Curtis, Jackie Wallace, Tyler Martin, Robert Durand Jr., Jacob Durand; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jessica Peck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Waterbury on Friday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow in St. Leo's Parish Hall.
