Obituary: Claudia G. Perry

Waterbury Center – Claudia G. Perry, 72, passed away early Friday morning, February 26, 2021, at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, due to the complications of COVID-19. Born in Atlanta, Ga., on September 16, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Claude G. and Betty J. (Moore) Green. 

Claudia was a 1966 graduate of Waterbury High School. On February 14, 1969, Claudia married Douglas A. Perry in Waterbury.  

As a young woman, Claudia worked at the White, Evans and Day Company of Waterbury.  In 1980 she and Douglas moved to Atlanta, Ga. and then moved to Ellijay, Ga., where she worked at the Goldkiss Company in the Production Department. For the past seven years she has made her home in Waterbury Center. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and playing cards.

Claudia is loved and mourned by her husband of over 50 years Douglas Perry, of Waterbury Center; her two sisters, Joyce Martin of Waterbury Center, and Betty Veal of Montpelier; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. Claudia was predeceased by two sons and a brother, Thomas E. Green.
