The Lamoille County Players will hold auditions for “The Addams Family” musical comedy on March 21 and 22 at the Hyde Park Opera House.
New director Julia Frohn joins players’ veteran Patricia Jacob to direct this family-friendly show featuring the classic quirky and well-known Addams family characters: Gomez, Morticia, Grandma, Uncle Fester, Wednesday, Pugsley and Lurch.
The production will assemble a large, multi-age ensemble of deceased Addams ancestors from a caveman through the recent past. They support the family in this story as Wednesday comes of age and finds love with an unlikely boy, Lucas, who, along with his nerdy, uptight parents, rounds out the leading roles.
Auditions will be held in one-hour sessions, 1-4 p.m., on both days. Sign up in advance for a group audition slot online at LCPlayers.com/the-addams-family. More information, audition readings, and music clips are also on the website.
The players welcome all to audition to take part in this summer community theater musical production to be presented at the historic Hyde Park Opera House June 19-21 and 26-28.
