A project to highlight the work of the Waterbury Conservation Commission enlisted the help of local middle school artists and the results are printed in a full-sized 2026 calendar.

The first Wild Waterbury calendar is available for $10 at the town office and at Bridgeside Books for purchase. There also is an online option to pay in advance and pick or request (local) delivery.

“This project celebrates our community’s landscapes, wildlife, and student creativity,” explained Conservation Commission Chair Amy Marshall-Carney in announcing the project.

Students created art with the theme of wildlife and landscapes.

Proceeds will support local conservation projects, community education and stewardship efforts, more student art and nature-based learning opportunities.

Marshall-Carney said today that there are still about three dozen copies available for purchase. To place an order, visit the Waterbury Conservation Commission’s website.
