Obituary: Thomas E. Boisvert

June 24, 2026Thomas E. Boisvert, 83 of Waterbury, Vermont, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, at McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester. He was born in Montpelier on July 26, 1942, to Clovis J. and Viola M. Boisvert of Montpelier, Vermont.
He grew up in Montpelier and attended St. Michael’s Elementary School and graduated from St. Michael’s High School in 1960. He married the love of his life, Betty A. Boisvert, on June 23, 1962, at St. Andrews Church in Waterbury.
He worked in the Boisvert family barber shop in Montpelier with his dad and three brothers, then went on to operate his own barber shop in Waterbury. Eventually, he sold his barber shop and founded Boisvert Sign Company, Inc., which he ran until he retired.
His family meant everything to him. He will be deeply missed by his wife Betty, of 64 years, his daughter Michelle and her husband Flint Willey, and his granddaughter, Abigail.
A private family graveside service will take place during the summer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice in Barre or to McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester.
