Vt. Fish & Wildlife among presenters at Yankee Sportsman’s Classic

The 33rd annual Yankee Sportsman’s Classic show takes place Friday-Sunday, Jan. 16-18, at the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction.

The three-day event offers a variety of hunting and fishing presentations, seminars and exhibits for all ages.

Among the presenters will be staff from the the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department. State game wardens, biologists and other staff will attend the show offering both formal seminars and informal opportunities to talk with Vermonters. 

“We are looking forward to talking with as many people as possible at the show,” said Fish and Wildlife Commissioner Jason Batchelder.  “It’s a great opportunity for us to share the latest information about fish and wildlife, and it gives people a chance to talk with us about fish and wildlife issues.”

State staffers will have copies of the 2026 hunting, fishing and trapping lawbooks at their exhibit booth. Hunters, anglers and trappers will also be able to buy 2026 licenses at the show.

Hours for the show are noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission: $15 for adults; $5 for kids ages 3-12; under age 3 are free. Admission is at the door and is good for all three days. There is no extra charge for seminars or kids activities.
