Waterbury Reservoir’s ‘lone ranger’

All 55 Vermont State Parks are open for the season now. You can check out a pass from the Waterbury Public Library for the day, too.

This reporter took a 5 min. trip from home to visit with Waterbury Center State Park Ranger Chad Ummel at the Waterbury Reservoir. The state has added the 27 remote campsites around the reservoir to its reservation system, and Ummel was busy ironing out the kinks before hundreds of outdoors-people flock to the popular man-made lake this summer.
