Joan E. Potter, 54, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, in the comfort of her home and family following a valiant battle with cancer.

Carol Irene (Snyder) Richer passed away on September 10, 2021. Carol was born in Tupper Lake, New York, on December 1, 1944, the daughter of Virginia and Glen Snyder, and an only child.

Dorothy Katherine Morrell passed away peacefully during the morning of September 20, 2021 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, Vermont.

HANCOCK, VT - Penny Jane Haskins, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at her home in Hancock.  Born in Morrisville, on November 3, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Wayne E. and Elizabeth A. (Tatro) Haskins Sr.   

Robert Steven Brace, 61, of Duxbury, Vermont, passed away quickly and unexpectedly on August 5, 2021, surrounded by family members and with pictures of his beloved nephews looking down upon him. 

Lois Marie (Stevens) Atwood, 73, born on September 12, 1948 in Berlin, Vermont, passed away peacefully at her home in Morrisville on Friday, August 13, 2021, in the presence of her family and life partner David Spear.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dean E. Thurston, age 68. Dean was born July 11, 1953 in Burlington, Vt., the son of Donald and Eloise (Marshall) Thurston. Dean was a 1971 graduate of Harwood Union High School.

John P. (Jack) Carter passed on peacefully at home on June 21, 2021 at the age of 75.  Jack was born on June 28, 1945 in Windsor, Vermont, the son of Nick and Ruth Carter, and the youngest brother of Sherm and Taylor (Jim). He is regarded affectionately by many as “The Mayor of Stowe Street.”

Mark William Martin, 57, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 12, 2021. Born in Montpelier on October 3, 1963, he was the son of the late William C. Martin and Virginia (Lamos) Martin, of Waterbury Center.

Donna (Morse) Ducas, 60, of Waterbury Center, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2021, surrounded by her family at UVM Medical Center. She was born in Montpelier, Vt., on September 4, 1960, the daughter of the late Roland and Betty (Gavin) Morse. 

Fay J. “Punk” Dow, 71, of Eden passed away surrounded by family and friends after a long and valiant fight with cancer at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington on Wednesday morning, July 7, 2021. 

Sally Eileen Finn, 91, died in her sleep on February 24, 2021, at Benchmark Senior Living Facility in Shrewsbury, Mass. 

MORETOWN, VT – Mary L. Noyes, 88, passed away in the early morning on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin.

Peter Vroman Mason of Pasadena, California, died on May 30, 2021, after a brief illness. He was a great man whose warmth, humor, integrity and intellect will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was laid to rest on June 5 at Mountain View Cemetery.

Martha M. Lewis, 89, passed away peacefully at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin on Thursday, May 13, 2021. Born in Burlington on Sept. 27, 1931, the daughter of the late James A. Mack Sr. and Isabelle (Smith) Mack, she married Paul B. Lewis on April 7, 1956. For more than two decades she ran the namesake Martha Lewis Antique shop on Stowe Street.
