June 22-24: School Board’s final meetings before summer break
June 19, 2026 | By Waterbury Roundabout The Harwood Unified Union School District School Board has three meetings on its calendar for its final week before summer break:
Monday: Building Use and Visioning Committee meets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 22, in person in the Harwood library and via Zoom. The committee will go over work to date on evaluating the district’s school buildings by architects TruexCullins and discuss potential reconfiguration ideas that could inform further discussions in the fall. Tuesday: Special meeting of the School Board has been called for Tuesday, June 23, at 6:30 p.m. for the purpose of holding an executive session to discuss a confidential student matter. While the executive session is not open to the public, the meeting begins and ends in open session and includes an opportunity for public comment at the start. This meeting is scheduled for one hour in the Harwood library and via Zoom. Agenda link is here.
Wednesday: The School Board’s annual retreat is scheduled for 5-10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, at the Mad River Barn and via Zoom. This final meeting of the school year is an opportunity for the board to meet off-site over dinner to discuss topics in depth and plan for the coming academic year. The agenda includes a presentation by administrators about technology use in the district, a preview of the fiscal year 2027-28 budget, and a discussion about statewide education reconfiguration efforts.
