After a two-year hiatus, the Harwood Union Music Department has brought back its annual Citrus Sale and orders are being collected now.

Students in music and band classes are the best contacts to place an order for Florida navel oranges and ruby red grapefruits as well as honey peanuts and butter toffee peanuts.

“We have done this for decades and it’s a great way to bring delicious fruit and nuts to our communities while supporting music scholarships for all of our music students,” explained Harwood Band Teacher Chris Rivers.

Fruit comes in 20- and 40-pound boxes with prices ranging from $23 to $48 per box; peanut items sell for $7 each. Proceeds from the sale support the department’s scholarship program and activities.

Music students are asked to collect orders by Thanksgiving. Fruit and peanuts will be delivered to the school on Dec. 12 for distribution.

Connect with a Harwood music student to place an order.
