On Monday and Tuesday, April 1516, the lower portion of Blush Hill Road will be closed to through traffic while VELCO works near the intersection of Kimberly Drive.

Waterbury Public Works Director Bill Woodruff said VELCO has “an extensive structure repair” planned for a laminated pole. The road will be closed between Route 100 and Crossroad from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. both days, he said.

A detour will be in place. Residents of Blush Hill above the work area should use Crossroad for access. Residents in the Kennedy Drive and Blush Hill neighborhood below it may enter from Route 100.

School buses and emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass through the work zone, Woodruff said.
