Vermont State Police are seeking the public’s help for information about a theft at Sticks & Stuff in Middlesex that could be tied to other recent thefts in the area.

Trooper Matthew Helpard reported that state police in Berlin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning were notified about a theft from Sticks & Stuff on Gallagher Road in Middlesex.

“Investigation revealed that an unidentified male entered the store, taking an item before leaving,” Helpard wrote in a press release.

After reviewing security camera footage, investigators believe the same individual may be connected to other thefts in the area, he added.

The man in question was last seen driving a white Toyota Camry with the Vermont license plates KRS 144, police said.

Helpard did not say what specific items were stolen in the incidents, but he did tell Waterbury Roundabout that the items were valued between $200 and $700.

Police shared security camera photos of the man from outside Sticks & Stuff and at Aubuchon Hardware in Moretown.

Anyone with information that might help investigators is encouraged to contact Trooper Helpard or Trooper Charney at the Berlin Barracks at 802-229-9191. Anonymous tips may be shared online at vsp.vermont.gov/tipsubmit.
