Waterbury Roundabout on Sunday, Jan. 4, received reports from local residents of an incident in Waterbury Center that summoned Vermont State Police and a state Medical Examiner team.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m. along Sweet Road.

Vermont State Police Lt. Thomas Howard, commander at the Berlin barracks, told Waterbury Roundabout that troopers responded to “an untimely death of a sole individual” and that the death was not deemed suspicious. No details were released regarding the identity of the deceased.

State police spokesman Adam Silverman separately added that, “there is no threat to the public, and no criminal conduct was involved. For those reasons, we are unable to provide any further information.”
