Two Waterbury residents are facing criminal charges of possession of heroin following a court-ordered search of their residence, Vermont State Police said Friday.

Holly Roggensack, 32 and Timothy Howard, 52, are due in Vermont Superior Court in Barre on Nov. 18, police said.

Trooper Ryan Riegler said 19 glassine baggies with heroin were uncovered at the residence the two defendants were occupying at 228 East Wind Drive on Thursday.  Concerned citizens had reported considerable foot traffic in and out of the residence, the trooper noted.

Riegler said a state judge found there was probable cause to issue a search warrant for the residence and the investigation is continuing. Both defendants were released on court citations pending formal arraignments next month.
