To the Community:

Now in its second year, Vermont Fatherhood continues to provide connection, education and support for fathers and male caregivers in Central Vermont.

Founded in 2025 and based in downtown Barre, Vermont Fatherhood was created to provide fathers, father figures and male caregivers with a welcoming place to connect, build parenting skills, access support and strengthen their relationships with their children and families.

Over the past year, Vermont Fatherhood has continued to grow its programs and reach more fathers and male caregivers through a variety of free services and opportunities. Programs include Dad’s Groups, playgroups for fathers and young children, coffee hours, individual fatherhood coaching and mentoring, Training Camp for New Dads, and the 24/7 Dad fatherhood program.

Vermont Fatherhood operates with an open-door approach, supporting fathers and male caregivers in the community. Dads regularly reach out by phone, text or email. Whether someone joins a structured program, stops in for coffee, or reaches out individually, we meet fathers where they are to provide a welcoming place for connection and support.

Vermont Fatherhood will be hosting a gathering on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Barre Social Club, 105 North Main St., in Barre. The evening will include dinner, conversation and an opportunity to learn more about Vermont Fatherhood’s work, followed by a short walk to the organization’s nearby space at 124 North Main St. for a tour. Attendance is limited, so email josh@vermontfatherhood.org by Oct. 19 to reserve a seat.
