LETTER: Get ready to boogie as Spring Hill School’s annual fundraiser begins
October 15, 2025
To the Community:
Spring Hill School is a licensed nonprofit preschool located in Waitsfield, providing early education for children in the Mad River Valley and surrounding communities. Grounded in the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, Spring Hill provides a creative and nurturing learning community for children, parents, and teachers.
The school is preparing for its annual fundraiser, starting on Friday, Oct. 24, with a dance party, which is half of the school’s long-standing “Bid and Boogie.” Once a single event, the Bid and Boogie transformed during COVID, and now operates as two separate parts.
This first part – the boogie – will be held on Oct. 24, at Afterthoughts in Waitsfield, from 7 to 11 p.m. with live music by Al’s Pals beginning at 8:30 p.m. Food by Peaceburger will be available for purchase. Tickets are $25 and available in advance online.
Following the dance party, a separate online auction – “the Bid” – takes place, this year opening on Sunday, Nov. 2, running through Sunday, Nov. 16.
Items up for bid come in all shapes and sizes, with connections threading throughout the local community. From outdoor gear to handcrafted goods, tasty provisions to exceptional getaways, there are over 150 chances to come away with something special, all with the added bonus of benefiting the school’s programs. The online auction will be available online here starting Nov. 2.
Proceeds from both events benefit Spring Hill School and its mission to provide high-quality early education.
Bringing the events to fruition is an incredible testament to the partnership of the teachers, families, and longtime supporters of the school. Now in its 41st year of operation, Spring Hill School continues to provide rich experiences and meaningful relationships for young children and their families.
We invite the community to join the Bid and Boogie events to show your support for the incredible impact of Spring Hill School.
