LETTER: Gratitude for recent LIFT fundraiser

To the Community:

On August 29, LIFT held its third annual fundraising event at Lawson's Finest Liquids in Waitsfield. It raised over $14,000 to be used to fund scholarships for Harwood Union High School students to travel on school-sponsored international trips.

The LIFT board would like to thank everyone who supported this fundraiser, including Lawson's Finest Liquids for hosting the event and for their continued support.

Huge thanks also go to Madigan Linnane and Ragged Company for their amazing music!

LIFT is short for Launch Into Foreign Travel, the name of a local nonprofit started as the Cyrus Zschau Memorial Fund to provide educational travel scholarships to Harwood students. The fund honors the memory of Cyrus Zschau, a Harwood Union High School student from Moretown who died in 2016. Cyrus had a love for travel and adventure and aspired to travel the world after his graduation. Learn more at czlift.org.
