LETTER: Harwood board leaders thank the community

March 5, 2026

To the Community:

As the leadership of the Harwood Unified Union School District School Board, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the members of our communities for supporting the 2026 school budget.

We are grateful for the trust you have placed in us and for your continued commitment to the students and schools of our district. With the passing of this budget, we can continue our work to provide a strong and sound education for the students we serve.

Looking ahead, we remain committed to connecting with legislators, our local communities, and school districts across Vermont to develop a sustainable funding approach that addresses the significant challenges related to our school buildings.

We also recognize that this is a time of change in education across Vermont. We acknowledge the need to thoughtfully examine how we operate and serve our communities, and we expect that much of our work in the coming year will focus on engaging with our communities and partners as we navigate those changes together.

Thank you again for your support of our students, our schools, and the future of our district.

Sincerely,

Chair Ashley Woods, Warren

Vice Chair Cindy Senning, Duxbury
