LETTER: Indivisible Mad River plans No Kings rally March 28

March 10, 2026

To the Community:

On March 28, Mad River Valley residents will come together with millions of Americans across the country in a nationwide day of nonviolent protest at the third No Kings National Day of Non-Violent Action. There are over 1,000 events nationwide

That Saturday, Indivisible Mad River Valley community members will rally together in Waitsfield, on Main Street, centered by the gazebo on the Mad River Green, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to register online here. All are welcome and encouraged to bring signs, American flags, along with friends and family.

“The Mad River Valley is joining the rest of Vermont and the nation in pushing back against President Trump’s violent, authoritarian regime,” said event organizer Callie Willis.” On March 28th we’ll be bringing together the community from all walks of life to share a very simple and clear message: We don’t do dictators or kings in America.

No Kings is a mass, nonviolent movement that has already mobilized millions — from over 5 million participants on June 14, 2025 to over 7 million people joining more than 2,700 events across all 50 states and the District of Columbia on October 18, 2025 — and is growing as communities unite to reject authoritarian power grabs and defend dignity and freedom.

We’re excited to join with other groups organizing the No Kings non-violent protests across the country including the ACLU, the American Federation of Teachers, Common Defense, 50501, Human Rights Campaign, Indivisible, League of Conservation Voters, MoveOn, National Nurses United, Public Citizen, SEIU, among others. A full list of partners can be seen online here

All No Kings events adhere to a shared commitment to nonviolent protest and community safety. Organizers are trained in de-escalation, every local event has a safety lead, and organizers are coordinating closely with local partners to ensure powerful, non-violent local actions.
