LETTER: Legion thanks community for fundraiser support

May 27, 2026

The members of Harry N. Cutting American Legion Post 59 would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many local businesses, organizations, and individuals who generously donated items and services for our recent Silent Auction and Prom Fundraiser. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, this year’s fundraiser was an overwhelming success, and we are proud to share that we more than doubled our fundraising efforts from last year.

Funds raised from this event will help support our ongoing community and veteran initiatives, including youth programs, scholarships, veteran outreach and assistance efforts, memorial and patriotic events, and maintaining our ability to serve local veterans in need. We also want to thank everyone who attended, participated, volunteered, and supported the event.

We would like to specifically recognize the following donors and supporters for their generous contributions: Iliana Fulton, Emily’s Bar & Bistro, Mad River Barn, Mad River Glen, The Village Grocery, The Reservoir, Thunder Road, Treasure’s Unburied, Top Notch Resort, Meg Libby, Whipple Tree Designs, Sun & Ski, Liz Harris, The Skinny Pancake, Irasville Country Store, The Mad Taco, Bisbee’s Ace Hardware in Waitsfield, McGillicuddy’s in Waterbury, Umiak Outdoor Outfitters, April & Keith Clark, Chico’s Tacos, Joy Bar & Restaurant, Mad Moose Bar & Grill, Kenyon’s Variety Store, Mehuron’s Supermarket, and Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea.

The American Legion is a veteran-led organization dedicated to supporting veterans, active-duty service members, military families, and the broader community. At Post 59, we work to promote patriotism, mentorship, youth activities, scholarship opportunities, remembrance ceremonies, and assistance programs for veterans and their families.

Your generosity and support make a meaningful difference and help strengthen the work we do throughout the year. Thank you again for helping make this year’s fundraiser our most successful yet.

Sincerely,

Harry N. Cutting American Legion Post 59
