LETTER: Supporting Leah Murphy Jones and Caleb Curry for assistant judge seats
July 21, 2026
To the Community:
I am writing to express my support for Leah Murphy Jones and Caleb Curry for the two Washington County Assistant Judge positions on the Aug. 11 Democratic primary ballot.
I’ve known Leah Murphy Jones and Caleb Curry for many years – as neighbors, friends, parents, and people who genuinely care about this community. They are the first to lend a hand, the first to volunteer, and the kind of people who follow through on what they say they’re going to do. Leah and Caleb live their lives with integrity, both publicly and privately.
As an incumbent, Leah has already shown her leadership by serving as Assistant Judge. She’s handled incredibly difficult situations with professionalism and compassion, and Washington County is better off because of her work.
Caleb is a problem solver and is excellent working in both public-facing and behind-the-scenes roles. He’s organized, hardworking, and has a knack for bringing people together to get things done.
They are both honest, level-headed people with strong values, and I can’t think of two people I’d trust more to represent our county as part of the judiciary.
They’ll have my vote for Assistant Judge on Aug. 11, and I hope they’ll have yours, too.
