LETTER: Taravella shares thanks, reflects on Select Board service

February 19, 2026

To the Community:

I would like to thank the voters of Waterbury for giving me the opportunity to serve on the Select Board this past year. I truly enjoyed my experience and learned a lot in my time on the board.

Sadly, I am not running again due to personal matters that need my attention in the next year, and it would not be fair to try to juggle both. It is my hope that once I have addressed these personal matters, the people of Waterbury will give me the privilege of serving them in public office once more in the future.

Thank you to all my fellow board members, the public, and town employees who helped me this past year and offered their input. I wish the future select board success and encourage everyone to give them grace, respect, and appreciation in their interactions with these individuals as they navigate their time on the board.

Thank you all for your faith in me and kind words of support. I am truly honored to have served you this past year.
