Town of Waterbury: Notice of Public Hearing, Waterbury Development Review Board

The Development Review Board for the Town of Waterbury will convene a public hearing on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., in the Steele Community Room in the Municipal Complex, 28 North Main Street, Waterbury and via Zoom. Remote connection details will be provided on the DRB agenda, published on www.waterburyvt.com, prior to the meeting.

The Board will act on the following:

# 039-26: Peter Milne & Victoria Comer (owners/applicants)

700 Ring Rd., Waterbury Center

The applicants propose to subdivide their 25-acre parcel into two lots (Lot #1 is 14.9 ac. and Lot #2 is 10.1 ac. The property is in the Low Density Residential and Conservation zoning districts, as well as the Ridges/Hillsides/Slopes (RHS) district overlay. Projects in the RHS overlay require Development Review Board review.

# 040-26: Francine & Donald Chittenden (owners/applicants)

35 Sunset Drive, Waterbury Center

The applicants propose to bury the utilities to the parcel within the R.O.W. Per the conditions of variance permit #046-23, this project requires site plan review.

# 044-26: Brian & Jill Drinkwater (applicants), Phyllis Simon (owner)

143 S. Main St., Waterbury.

The applicants propose to change the use of the building on the parcel in question. It is currently zoned as mixed residential and commercial use. The applicants propose converting the commercial space into a second residential unit. Change of use requires DRB review.
