Town of Waterbury: Notice of Public Hearing, Town of Waterbury Planning Commission
August 25, 2026Town of Waterbury Planning Commission will convene a public hearing to obtain public feedback regarding a draft 2026 Town Plan Update on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Steele Community Room in the Municipal Center, 28 North Main Street, Waterbury, Vermont.
Statement of Purpose
The Waterbury Planning Commission is excited to present the Waterbury Town Plan 2026. The Town Plan is where Waterbury puts its values into action. This plan consists of 11 chapters, each addressing the needs and goals of Waterbury, including:
Land Use, Housing, Natural Resources, Flood Resilience, Energy, Transportation, Local Economy, Municipal Services, Historic & Cultural Resources, Demographics and Community Services.
The Draft Plan reflects the Commission's work, in collaboration with residents, community organizations, and planning partners, to identify a broad range of aspirations and goals for Waterbury's future and specific strategies to achieve those goals.
The Town Plan provides focused policy direction to the Select Board, Planning Commission, town committees and municipal staff - including issues related to housing, affordability, flood resilience, education, local economy, land use, energy and transportation.

The entirety of the Town of Waterbury.
