Doggone weekend events
March 19, 2023 | Photos by Gordon MillerVermonters love their dogs and folks in Waterbury have been enjoying special canine time recently at weekend events meant to get people and friendly tail-wagging friends together.
Photographer Gordon Miller stopped by the Waterbury Area Senior Center for a visit last weekend from two special therapy dogs, Willow and Stan. The center hopes they and their humans Jill McManus and Phil Zoppo become regular visitors that members will look forward to seeing.

This Saturday, the Waterbury Public Library attracted a crowd for a visit from musher Milagro Amaya of Siber Sled Dogs in Cambridge with her team of Siberian husky sled dogs. Dozens of families got to meet and greet the dog team (and the snowbanks were fun to climb on, too). The pictures say it all.
