Signups are open for Harwood fall MS/HS sports

Harwood Athletic Director Ian Fraunfelder announced that registration is open for middle and high school students to sign up for fall athletics teams. 

Signups are done online using the Arbiter website here. Registration closes on Sept. 1. Fall sports are soccer, field hockey, cross country, volleyball, golf and bass fishing. 

The pre-season fall sports meeting for parents and student-athletes is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 7 p.m. at Harwood Union Middle/High School in the auditorium. Parents and athletes are encouraged to attend. 

The first day of team practices for high school teams will be Thursday, Aug. 14, and middle school teams start practices on Friday, Aug. 29, Fraunfelder said. 

The first day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 27, according to the HUUSD 2025-26 school calendar. 

Coaches will have team-specific details at the meeting. Fraunfelder will review policies and expectations and answer questions. One requirement for all student-athletes is to have documentation of a physical exam within the past two years.
