17th Green Mt. Mile set for June 27, ahead of Waterbury’s NQID parade

The 17th annual Green Mountain Mile footrace will take place just before Waterbury’s Not Quite Independence Day Parade on Saturday, June 27, at 3:45 p.m. sharp.

The one-mile course starts on the River Road access to the Ice Center in Waterbury.  The course then merges onto Vermont Route 100/Main Street north, with the finish at the top of Bank Hill at the intersection with Stowe Street. 

The parade begins immediately following the race. 

Applicants of all ages are invited to take part in this fun run that typically includes many families. Runners are encouraged to pre-register on Friday, June 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Primary School. There will be race-day registration from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Ice Center as well. 

Registration forms are online at the link below. Entry fees are: $5 for kids age 14 and under; $10 for adults.
