The 41st Vermont Corporate Cup Challenge and State Agency 5K is set for Thursday, May 16, in Montpelier.

The annual event is a 5K (3.1-mile) team running/walking event open to businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations in Vermont.

Its goal is to promote physical fitness within the workplace by involving employees who run or walk the course through Vermont's capital city. Participants also can join virtually from other locations, according to organizers.

Proceeds from this event benefit the programs and events of the Vermont Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, including the Vermont Department of Health’s Worksite Wellness Awards and Conference, Vermont Senior Games, Community Wellness Grants, Parks Rx, Fit and Healthy Kids and the annual Vermont Corporate Cup Challenge and State Agency Race.

Registration fees are $42 for the in-person race with a t-shirt and $52 for virtual with a t-shirt (includes shipping charge); without a shirt, fees are $34 for in person for both formats.

Register teams and find and more information online at the Vermont Corporate Cup website
