Conservation groups host brainstorming session Wednesday in Waterbury

The Stowe Land Trust and Waterbury Land Initiative are co-hosting a Waterbury Conservation Community Forum this Wednesday, March 11, at the Grange Hall Cultural Center in Waterbury Center.
The public is invited to join a community discussion that will focus on “protecting the places you love,” according to the event announcement.
Representatives of both organizations will be on hand to talk about their work, including a new strategic planning effort being led by the Stowe Land Trust to create a conservation plan encompassing a corridor through Waterbury, Stowe and Morristown.
The groups are eager to hear from the public to get input on ideas, priorities and questions that can help shape future conservation efforts in the region.
In addition, the Stowe Land Trust has an ongoing community survey that it is eager to share with people in the three communities, regardless of whether they can attend any in-person forums. Participating is anonymous and only takes a few minutes. Find the survey online here.
Wednesday’s forum will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Grange Hall, 317 Howard Ave., Waterbury. Refreshments will be provided.
