For the second year, Revitalizing Waterbury and the Waterbury Recreation Department are organizing a special event for community organizations to recruit new volunteers and local residents to get involved.

So far, more than two dozen organizations have signed up to have members on hand to meet new volunteers at the Waterbury Community Volunteer Fair on Saturday, March 28, from 1-3 p.m. in the gym at Brookside Primary School.

During the event, the various groups will make announcements explaining their mission and upcoming projects. Organizers also will run a raffle with tickets at the organization tables for attendees to pick up and enter for prize drawings during the fair. Prizes will include gift cards to local shops and restaurants, locally made pottery, books, artwork, and more.

Organizers say there is room for more groups to sign up free of charge for a spot at the fair. Sign up with this online form. For more information, contact Natalie Sherman at natalie@revitalizingwaterbury.org.
