Each spring, a number of positions on Waterbury’s appointed boards and commissions come open as terms expire on April 30.

Each body has staggered terms, so not all of the members end their service at the same time.

The Waterbury Select Board makes appointments to each of the boards and looks to interview the interested candidates beforehand. In addition to the local boards and commissions, the board appoints individuals to represent Waterbury to several regional entities such as the regional planning commission.

Community members interested in serving on any of the boards and commissions or the other appointed positions are asked to fill out the application form and submit it with a short letter of interest by noon on Friday, April 3, to interim Municipal Manager Bill Woodruff at bwoodruff@waterburyvt.com.

The select board will schedule interviews to make appointments at its April meetings.

Positions will be available on the following boards and commissions, listed below with links to their pages on the Waterbury town website, where you can also find them under the Boards and Meetings heading. In some cases, current members may be re-applying to continue serving another term.
