Ronald Arthur “Ron” Robie. 1938-2025
Ronald Arthur “Ron” Robie passed away peacefully at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by love.
He is deeply mourned by his wife of 63 years, Sharon Robie; his daughters Laurie (James) Haniuk, Leanne Robie, and Deanne Graham; his grandchildren Danielle Turner, Ryan Turner, and Tony Robie; his great-grandsons Jace Robinson and Talan Gouge; his nephews Bill and Mike Robie; and extended family and friends.
Ron was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Deal Robie; his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Penny Robie; and his son-in-law, Steve Graham.
Born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, Ron always considered Waterbury, Vermont, his true hometown, and he cherished his lifelong friendships there as family. He was a proud and dedicated veteran who served two years in the U.S. Army and 29 years in the U.S. Air Force. Ron was deeply patriotic, never missing an opportunity to connect with fellow veterans, always exchanging service stories and offering his heartfelt thanks.
His faith was a central part of his life, and he found great joy in sharing it. Ron’s love for family, friends, and country was unwavering. He was also a passionate sports enthusiast, known for his vast knowledge and love of the game. Whether playing pool or coaching a winning team at Nellis AFB, Ron embraced life with enthusiasm and humor.
He was a supporter of the SPCA, VFW, and DAV and always sought ways to give back to the communities and causes close to his heart.
Ron was a man who never met a stranger—he was liked and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, wisdom, and kindness will be missed deeply.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
