The Fayston Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization has launched its second annual Every Day in May for FAYston raffle with tickets on sale now.

Each ticket is a chance to win a prize valued between $50 and $100 with one drawing per day in May.

Prizes include gift certificates to local businesses in the Mad River Valley and Waterbury such as Maxi’s, Waterbury Village Market, Elevate Movement Collective, Salt & Rind, Black Cap Coffee & Bakery, Kinney Drugs and Ben & Jerry’s, Mad River Glen Stark Mountain card and SHaRC passes, even bigger stores like Target.

Tickets are $10 each. Every purchase of five tickets comes with an entry into the grand prize drawing for a Burlington staycation. That’s a collection of prizes: a $150 gift certificate for dinner at Hen of the Wood Burlington, a one-night stay at Hotel Vermont, four tickets to a performance at the Vermont Comedy Club, and a $75 gift certificate for brunch at The Friendly Toast.

All proceeds benefit the Fayston School PTO general account which helps fund many projects including the winter sports program, artists in residence, classroom projects and teacher grants, Red Clover and Golden Dome books, teacher and staff appreciation week, field day, the annual Halloween party, the Spring Social and beautification projects on campus, and more.

Principal Justina Boyden said the effort complements school-funded projects. “This annual fundraiser is integral to ensure the PTO has the funding it needs to provide our students with healthy, educational, and fun programming, and they work extremely hard to ensure our community has opportunities to participate in social functions throughout the year,” she said.

Students will be selling tickets outside of local establishments on weekends and on evenings in May. In addition, tickets may be purchased online through April 30. More information: call 802-496-3636 or email ptofayston@gmail.com.
