Harwood Rotary Interact 11th Annual Bottle Drive

March 9, 2026 | By Waterbury Roundabout

Harwood Union High School’s Rotary Interact Club and the Rotary Club of Waterbury are joining forces for a community bottle and can drive to support those experiencing homelessness.

The collection has already begun at Rodney’s Transfer Station on River Road (near the Waterbury Ice Center). A special drop-off is planned for Saturday, March 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., at Vermont Home Center, 16 Mason Drive off U.S. Route 2 in Moretown.

All of the proceeds will be donated to the Good Samaritan Haven shelter in Barre.

To donate now, drop off bags of redeemable bottles and cans at Rodney’s and ask that your contribution be added to the Harwood Interact Rotary collection.

Rotarian volunteer Ron Gulyas will pick up from anyone with redeemables to donate, but unable to transport them. Contact Gulyas before March 14 to schedule a pickup via email to buzzerman12@aol.com.
