March 9: Updated Mud Season school bus routes
March 8, 2026 | By Waterbury RoundaboutOngoing muddy conditions on many local gravel roads mean additional adjustments to school bus routes for the coming week. Local highway departments have posted many unpaved roads, closing them to use by trucks and buses.
First Student and the Harwood Unified Union School District have announced a list of bus route changes starting Monday morning, March 9. This is a new list from the changes announced on Friday. Families should refer to this list until another update is shared. Most adjustments involve families on gravel roads meeting school buses at the nearest intersections of their roads with paved roads.
Parents are asked to have students at their designated pick-up spots approximately five minutes before the anticipated bus arrival. Likewise, for parents meeting children at drop-off times as everyone adjusts to the new stops.
Additional changes are anticipated as road conditions change. The Roundabout will pass along updates when they are available.

Crossett Hill Road: Meet at Crossett Hill and Morse Road at 7:09 a.m. and 2:41 p.m.
Bus H2
Gregg Hill Road: Meet at Gregg Hill Road and Route 100 closer to Stowe at 7 a.m. and 3:05 p.m.; Gregg Hill Road and Route 100 closer to Waterbury at 7:05 a.m. and 3:05 p.m.
Spruce Haven: Meet at Route 100 and Spruce Haven at 6:49 a.m. and 2:40 p.m.
