Parent volunteers have collected 96 prizes from local businesses, merchants, etc., worth more than $7,400, according to organizers.
Ticket sales start Jan. 5 when students are back after the holiday break, and they end on Jan. 23. Purchase tickets directly from Brookside and Crossett Brook students or online on the fundraiser webpage at cbmspto.com.
Starting in February, winners will be drawn daily from the tickets purchased. Winners will be contacted and announced on the CBMS PTO website and on Front Porch Forum.
In addition to the prizes awarded to raffle entrants, students are entered into their own prize drawing for assisting with ticket sales. There are three prizes per school, including a pizza party for one class at each school. A Brookside student is chosen for a firetruck ride to school in the spring, and a Crossett Brook student could win a 10-punch state parks pass.
The PTO groups will use proceeds from the fundraiser for field trips, staff appreciation events, teacher grants, fun nights, 8th grade celebrations, parent education workshops, and more.
