Waterbury Town Clerk’s office adjusts February schedule

February 6, 2026 | By Waterbury Roundabout

Waterbury Town Clerk Beth Jones has announced an updated schedule for office hours in February.

The Town Clerk’s office will be closed for most services on Thursdays this month. Hours are still 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Wednesday and Fridays.

This affects services including vital records (marriage, birth and death certificates), dog licenses, land records research, notary services, and motor vehicle registrations. Other city and town clerks can help with some of these non-Waterbury-specific items.

Early voting for the March 3 local elections will begin soon. Ballots must be available by Feb. 10 for anyone who would like to vote before Town Meeting Day. Starting Feb. 10, voters may visit the town office to vote in person on weekdays through March 2 (including on Thursdays). Waterbury residents also can register to vote during this time, Monday-Friday.

Voters interested in receiving their ballots by mail can call 802-244-8447 or email either Beth Jones at bjones@waterburyvt.com or Assistant Town Clerk Carol Dawes at cdawes@waterburyvt.com to make that request.

All other offices in the Municipal Complex will be operating as usual this month.
