As health officials begin to vaccinate those at high risk for COVID-19, Vermont’s cases of the deadly virus continue to climb including in Waterbury where cases have nearly tripled since the start of November.

Dawn Poitras returns to Duxbury Selectboard; board renews push to bond for Town Garage repairs
A familiar face is returning to the Duxbury Selectboard. Duxbury resident Dawn Poitras was appointed on Monday to fill the vacancy created by the abrupt resignation of Richard Charland last month. Poitras will hold the seat until Town Meeting Day in March.

No construction activities will occur from noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25, through Sunday, Nov. 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday. December 1 will mark the end of the season for road construction. However, there will be necessary work remaining on the new traffic signal at the Stowe Street intersection with Main Street. That is not scheduled yet as it is contingent on supplies from the vendor.
Electric Vehicle Incentive Program gets new funding
MONTPELIER – The Vermont Agency of Transportation has relaunched the state’s Plug-In Electric Vehicle Incentive Program with $950,000 available to income-qualified applicants who buy or lease new electric vehicles.

There will be no construction activities between noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25, through Sunday, Nov. 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Clean-up of all areas continues. This includes walkways, sidewalks and driveways. Crews are working on the punch list to button up for the winter season. Work not completed now will resume in the spring.
