LETTER: Thank you to our town employees!
February 26, 2026To the Community:
I stopped by the Town Office to pick up my Town Report and saw a face I did not recognize — LeeAnne Viens, who worked for the town for 35 years as a bookkeeper and returned this past September after hearing about the staffing shortage.
Coming out of retirement (after 8 years!) to help her community is no small thing. Stepping back in when the town needed support speaks volumes.
Thank you, LeeAnne, for showing up and pitching in when it mattered.
At the same time, appreciation is also due to those who were already part of the team — Woody, Beth, and Bill — who took on additional responsibilities, as well as Carol Dawes, temporary Assistant Town Clerk, who has helped during this busy period.
Much of this work happens quietly behind the scenes. Residents do not see the day-to-day effort, but it truly makes a difference. They make it look easy, and it is not!
And a sincere thank you to Cheryl and Kia — always helpful and always welcoming faces! (Cheryl - thanks for adding page numbers to the published minutes!)
Thank you all for your professionalism and steady work during a challenging transition for our town.
Much appreciation,
Valerie Rogers
