Robert Perry: Warren write-in candidate for HUUSD School Board

February 24, 2026

To the Community:

My name is Robert Perry, and I am a write-in candidate for Warren representative to the Harwood Unified Union School District School Board.

I believe my experience as a marketing and communications executive in software companies large and small will enable me to contribute to the school district’s planning and budgeting process. I’ve lived in Warren for 8 years, though I have been a frequent visitor to the Mad River Valley for 40 years. I currently own and operate a small business in Waitsfield.

As a member of the school board, I would:

  • Encourage a fiscally responsible mindset that adapts the system to Vermont’s declining population.

  • Drive to end the hollowing out of school programs that reduces educational opportunity for students.

  • Define and communicate a long-term plan to control HUUSD costs.

  • Consider how to reduce the school district’s carbon footprint.

  • Support legislative efforts to reform Vermont’s broken education funding model.

All school districts in Vermont share the responsibility for the escalating education tax. I will push the HUUSD board to be responsible and manage its costs and infrastructure to match the demographic changes in Vermont.

I ask that you consider writing me in – Robert Perry – for school board on the Warren ballot.

Robert Perry
