All 22 runners take part in 3K, 5K races at Harwood

Monday’s Harwood Cross Country Summer Fun Run attracted 22 runners to the Harwood trails. No kids' race was held because all of the youngest participants preferred to run the 3K with the grown-ups.
3K Results:
Linden Basor of Calais finished first in the 3K with a time of 21:40 followed by Brian Basor of Calais at 21:41. Elliott McElroy of Duxbury came in third at 22:32, followed by Jackson Migonis of Waterbury at 24:08, Beck Lea of Duxbury at 24:09, Alison Migonis of Waterbury at 24:14, Mikey Lea of Duxbury at 26:29, Britta Lea of Duxbury at 26:31, Heather Lessor of Moretown at 28:22 and Ryder Lessor of Moretown at 28:23, Nate Choge and Taylor Choge of Orange at 31:45.

5K Results:
In the 5K, Vince Wing of Waterbury finished first at 20:51, followed closely by Matt Migonis of Waterbury at 20:54. Next was Patrick Hamel of Duxbury at 21:11, Serena Wilcox of Duxbury at 26:24, Jonathan Hamel of Duxbury at at 27:09, Colin Smith of Duxbury at 27:31, Beckett McElroy of Duxbury at 27:48, Harmony Devoe of Warren at 28:01, Jesse Wing of Waterbury at 31:08, and Heidi Higgins Cutler of Moretown at 32:49.
The final two Harwood Summer Fun Runs are scheduled for Mondays, Aug. 11 and 18. Registration starts at 6 p.m. with a Kids Run at 6:15 p.m., immediately followed by the 3K/5K races.
The cost to enter is $5 per person; no charge for kids 6 and under. All proceeds support the Harwood Union Cross Country Team’s trip later this fall to the Maine Festival of Champions in Belfast, Maine.
