August 10, 2026 | By Waterbury RoundaboutRegistration for fall teams with Waterbury Youth Soccer is now open.
Families with players from kindergarten through sixth grade can sign up now through Aug. 31.
Waterbury Youth Soccer is a recreational soccer league for players in Waterbury and surrounding communities. Teams are organized by grades: kindergarten, grades 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6. Kindergarten and grade 1-2 teams are combined boys and girls; older teams have separate girls and boys groups.
Registration fees are: $70 per child in kindergarten; $75 for first-second graders; $80 per child for those in third-sixth grades. Scholarships are available.
The volunteer organization also recruits coaches for the program. Organizers say they are still looking for a coach for a third-fourth grade boys team.
The season kicks off the week of August 31 with practices and Saturday games. Kindergarten teams meet on Saturdays only. Grade 1-2 teams have one practice during the week in addition to Saturday games. Teams for grades 3-6 have two practices per week, plus Saturday Games.
The first games will be played on Sept. 12. Kindergarten and grade 1-2 teams will play at Hope Davey Park in Waterbury Center. Teams in grades 3-4 and 5-6 will play home games at Dac Rowe Park and Crossett Brook Middle School.
The younger teams end their season with a jamboree on Oct. 17; the older teams end on Oct. 24 with the Gary Griffith Invitational Jamboree. The final events often include teams from Mad River Valley, Montpelier or other local recreational clubs.
