Runners of all ages hit the Harwood trails for Monday’s Fun Run

Sixteen runners took on the Harwood trails for this week’s Monday Fun Run. 

Max Murray of Waterbury finished first in the Kids’ Race followed by Jackson Migonis of Waterbury and Ada Reed of Middlesex.

In the 5K, Alison Migonis of Waterbury finished first with a time of 24:03 followed by Brody Hackett of Waterbury Center at 24:32, Beckett McElroy of Duxbury at 24:37, Jon Floyd of Waterbury at 24:40, Jake Pittman of South Duxbury at 25:30, Serena Wilcox of North Duxbury at 27:26, Asher Murray of Waterbury at 30:20, Julia Cisz of Duxbury at 30:23, Lyra Turkle of Waterbury at 31:20, and Heidi Cutler of Moretown at 37:04.

Rob Murray of Waterbury was the sole finisher of the 3K at 21:02 while Andrew Reed, Ada Reed and Jackson Migonis opted to take the path less traveled.

The next Fun Run is Monday, July 27. Registration starts at 6 p.m. Kids’ Race begins at 6:20 p.m.; the 3K/5K start at 6:30 p.m. 

Harwood Union’s Cross Country team hosts Fun Runs every Monday through Aug. 17. 

Cost is $5 per runner; no charge for runners age 6 and under. All proceeds support the Harwood team’s trip to the Maine Festival of Champions in Belfast, Maine, on Oct. 3.
