Dogs and their humans can take part in the 28th annual Mutt Strutt 3-mile benefit jog on Sunday April 26 at Little River State Park.
The event is a fundraiser for Potter’s Angels Rescue which will have representatives in attendance to answer questions and will have several dogs available for adoption.
Runners – both with and without dogs – can register in advance for $10 by mail or online until April 23. After that and on the day of the run, the registration fee is $15.
All dogs taking part must be leashed and vaccinated for rabies. Entrants must fill out a waiver.
The race begins at 10 a.m. and prizes are awarded by dog size and owner age/gender.
Organizers provide refreshments for both human and canine participants.
Potter’s Angels Rescue is a volunteer-run animal rescue group based in Barre. They take in animals from high-kill shelters and assist local animal control to place strays. The group also assists low-income seniors with veterinary costs.
