Neighborhood organizers have delivered collection boxes for community members to contribute to the supply of Halloween candy that will be distributed this year in the Randall Street/Elm Street/Park Row neighborhood.
Boxes are at the Waterbury Public Library as well as at Brookside Primary School and Crossett Brook Middle School. Community members can drop off packages of wrapped candy at any of the locations during regular hours when the library and schools are open.
Volunteers will then gather the donations and distribute them among the neighborhood residents who will be greeting trick-or-treaters on Halloween night.
The collection boxes will be available through Thursday, Oct. 29, according to volunteer Carrie MacMillan.
